The Big First Day of School Post

It's a whilwind that first day of school.  But I love it.  The excitement, the newness, the anticipation of a great year ahead.  I can't imagine my life without the "first day of school" every year.

The girls had "first day french toast" with fresh berry butter.



Along with a sweet note from daddy!





About to take some shots of Anna just before she left. And Abigail suddenly got sad.



Seeing me in a photo with them makes it ever harder to believe that shes twelve.

And that joy!





But of all the photos it's this next one that makes my heart smile the most. Maybe because we weren't trying for a picture and this is just the 'way she looked' about to walk to school.

Walking a sixth grader to her right spot when you're a big seventh grader sure makes the leaving better.

Thank goodness for third grade teachers with love oozing out of them. Oh yea, it's going to be a GREAT year... I can tell from this one photo!
