This afternoon Scott and I had the privilege of attending Abigail's Authors Tea. It was a beautiful culmination of some very hard work. And we were so proud of her girl.

She was thrilled to finally have an occasion to wear her "James and the Giant Peach" skirt. (which twirls perfectly)

She read us her story (8 typed pages)

It was all about a character named Harriet who has EoE. And her struggles and triumph with the disease.

The amazing principal was there.

I made chocolate, heart shortbread cookies for the occasion.

And daddy came too... love her beaming face here.

And this teacher is brilliant. I was in awe of the stories. Quite certain that I was in a middle school Authors Tea and not 4th grade.

Tonight we happened to have grandparents over and Abigail was eagar to share her story with them. I love this one too.
My happy and proud little girl and her grandpa.

She has copies for her favorite nurses (here) at the hospital along with her EoE doctor.
Thanks you to her amazing teacher for what she taught. What a lovely afternoon.
