School Valentines

I usually take photos and make a card.  This year I wanted to do something a bit different with Abigail.  Like most her age, she loves a craft and I found 'how to make your own crayons' on line.

So we all worked on this little project.  And it WAS really easy.

Step One:

Take out all of your crayons. Peel off the wrappers. (Scott used a knife to slit the wrappers to the girls could easily and quickly get those wrappers off.

Step Two:

Break the crayons in pieces. And place them in the mold you would like to use. We used a heart with a mini heart inside to make Valentine crayons. We likes mixing crayons colors that were complimentary.

Step Three:

Place in a 250 degree oven for 18 minutes. Putting it on a cookie sheet makes it a lot easier to pull out of the oven when they're done.

Step Four:

Let them cool and harden. Then pop em out of the mold.

Step Five:

Attach to cards using a bit of hot glue.

So festive and fun!

Step Six:

Buy new crayons for your art table at home. New, sharp, crayons are the best!
