Valentines Day
Such a sweet day we had. And can it always be a Sunday? Please!
We started the day just getting ready for Mass and then Valentines just before we left.
Now, I have to tell you that the forecast was for our coldest day yet this winter. Even with new windows and the heat crankin we woke up to this on the INSIDE of our windows Valentines morning. Kissed by Jack Frost himself. I love living here.
Ice is so pretty with the sun gleaming on it.
The fire place was going in the living room and we had it all cozy in there.
The girls loved their slippers
I picked this one for Anna (this is Anna and I after she walks in the door from school)
And I loved the bracelet Scott gave me. Its from a teeny tiny jewelry store that has been in business since 1961. All of the bracelets are made by the same man that designs them. I love each and every one of his delicate silver bracelets in his shop.
I gave Scott tea but didn't get a picture of that. I was keeping my eye on the time so that we could get to church.
The temperature on the car was 2 degrees. -25 with the wind chill. So we were super bundled up for sure.
(iphone.. and no she didn't stay that bundled through the whole Mass)
We met my parents and brother at brunch after Mass. It was so good and we ate enough for a whole day.
Me and my Valentine (2 degrees)
Oh, and I gave the girls little rose corsages to wear during Mass and for brunch.
(a few iphone pics because I felt funny taking out the big camera at brunch... and I had a big plate of food)
Spontaneous hugs during brunch
With two days off following Valentines Day and light snow fluttering down on Sunday afternoon and Monday all day it was a recipe for perfection. Just doing nothing, and a bit of things around the house. Lots of playing and chatting too.
This smelled so goooooOoood all afternoon and evening!
I loved this Valentines Day!

I agree Valentines day on a Sunday is just perfection!! Abigails dress is adorable on her and the picture of her at brunch leaning over the table....her face is just priceless. I love seeing glimpses of your daily celebrations with your girls there is so much love all around. Oh and 2 degrees!!!!! felt like -25, I'm not quite sure I would be able to even get out of bed I would be soooooo cold ;)
