Summer Evenings

Most summer evenings find us outside in our yard after dinner. The girls water and I weed. Scott usually helps us a bit in the yard or often this summer he's setting up the 'project' (like refacing the cabinets) we start on after the girls are tucked in bed.

But as house~project busy as we are this summer I don't want to forget the sweet summer evenings. Despite the to dos around us the summer evenings still look like this...

And the sun heading down is so pretty over the arbor.



The girls love watching a movie here on summer evenings too. This one was Mary Poppins. They loved it and I just couldn't get enough of that little girl Jane's dresses and coats. Bliss!



This one was outside on a huge screen and that was a lot of fun too!



I think waiting for it to get dark with brownies and good friends was better than the movie!

Summer evenings at home are always my favorite. I wish I could bottle them up and save them for cold wintry nights like this...
