Harvest Pear Crisp
3 c. Bartlett pears, peeled, cored and sliced
3 T water
1 T lemon juice
1/2 c sugar divided
1/2 c plus 2 T all-purpose flour, divided
1t cinnamon, divided
5 T chilled butter
1/4 c brown sugar, packed
In a bowl, combine pears, water, lemon juice, 1/4 cup sugar, 2 T flour and 1/2 t cinnamon. Toss to mix. Spread in an 8x8 baking pan sprayed with non-stick spray. In a separate bowl, but together butter, brown sugar and remaining sugar, flour and cinnamon until crumbly. sprinkle over pear mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes, or until pears are tender.
This one really warms up the average weeknight. Ahh!
