Here's part one
The next dance she was in was so cute, The Story of Saint Patrick, in Irish Dance.
The acted out Saint Patrick's life, how he came to Ireland, all while dancing.
Now this moment (I have to interrupt the story here) This was Abigail's first time wearing a show Irish costume. And you can tell from her face, well, she was tickled.
Love that her feet and 'Saint Patrick's' feet are exactly together here.
After the dances were over it was time for awards. Five year award to my little girl. Five years of Irish dance? I'm not sure how that happened!
This is such a special dance school. The love these teachers have for their students is like this all of the time.
Do you remember how last year Abigail was awarded a full year scholorsip? (post back here) Well, this year she got to present to this years recipient. And boy was she happy about that!!
And now time for the party.
Abigail changed out of her dance dresses into this little one. And she took my place (dancing with my dad) And I couldn't be happier. I love watching these two dance.
Absolute favorite... swoon!
And then she took my place again (but how I love this) with her daddy.
It sure was one very special night. And I'm so grateful for these precious memories.

Irish Dance Celli, part 1
Each March Abigail has her end of the year Irish Dance Celli. It's a traditional Irish Festival of dance and we are blessed that Abigail is a dancer. THIS is our Saint Patrick's Day for sure! It's an {almost} end of the year dance recital, Irish party, dance (for everyone) all in one. It's really a wonderful celebration.
And this year was my favorite. Although last year was amazing too.
I love all of it. The big Irish band, the dancing, the costumes, and of course the joy it brings my little girl!
I'll start at the beginning. It all started with a brisk cup of Irish Breakfast in the morning for me.
Now here we go! It was held from 3-7 pm on a Sunday afternoon. And I think that all of the joy comes 'behind stage'.
I like to sneak back there for all of the little joy filled conversations.
I wasn't even trying for this one. I think they all saw the big camera lens and all of a sudden her whole class was before me!
Meanwhile, the guests start arriving and all of the food comes out.
I forgot to take a few pictures of all of the amazing food we had at our table, but I did get a few pictures with Anna.
Abigail all lined up and ready...
Introducing herself.
It's hard to capture the dances.
Such intricate steps all while dancing in a circle and holding hands. She's really come so far and gotten really good!
One of my favorites.
Now, can I just talk about the no makeup, pink cheeks from dancing SMILE she had plastered on her face while she was dancing? That melted my heart, it did!
She bowed, and dance number one was over.
But unlike a traditional "dance recital" in a Celli there is much more dancing for each child. So more coming tomorrow!
