The groceries are in the house.
Anna and I made the pie crust tonight.
Abigail and I made chocolate dipped macaroons tonight too.
The bread (for stuffing, yes, I'm trying the ol fashioned way) is all laying on a table to dry out. 3 large loaves.
The table is set (has been for almost two weeks)
And I'm constantly fussing with twinkle lights and adding touches of magic here and there.
Yes, it' a holiday.
And it's my very first Thanksgiving (hosting)
After a lot of years (my whole entire life) my Mom has gotten me ready to take over. And I've watched her for 43 Thanksgivings.
It'll never be like hers. (back here)
But it'll be wonderful.
I'm super excited and not at all nervous.
Oh, and oh so glad that we're going to Grandma and Grandpa's for Christmas. Because Holiday magic is in there house.
(Here's my Mom over my house a few weeks ago... she was talking me through what to do step by step. I asked Anna to video because I never thought I could remember... even through she wrote everything out. This is a picture of a video. I could never show the video... too many family Thanksgiving cooking secrets {wink wink})
I hope you have a wonderful thanksgiving Tara! I know it will be a beautiful day surrounded by family.
