"Daddy, please don't let go..."

Quite on a whim really,  Scott decided to finally take off her training wheels.  She's eight.  But we always worried about her falling.  I mean she's the size of a five year old with bones in her little body that have never ever ever seen calcium.  Her allergies sometimes make me feel like she frail.  But she's the exact OPPOSITE, really.  She is feisty and healthy and strong and she has more energy balled up into her than any eight year old I know.  She was ready!

Perfect fall~ish day.  Sweater on her and not hot at all.

2

Scott held her the whole time (even through back pain... another post on that coming soon)

3

I loved watching her face.

And when she was ready he let go.  Just a little.  No pedaling.  She just coasted a bit and then put her foot down just like he told her to.

Up and down the sidewalk they went.  Over and over until his back couldn't take it anymore.

We were the cheerleaders sitting on the grass.  Wish I got a picture but all of the neighbors walking their dogs were cheering her on too. (look what I found... this twelve year old on the same bike learning how to ride waaaay back then)

It was a pretty awesome Monday afternoon!
