It was such a pretty day - not hot, sunshine, just right for using all of my vintage table cloths, setting the tables under the tree, and relaxing with family.
We have Anna a Saint Cecelia doll and a new Bible (she has been wanting a 'grown up' Bible that isn't meant for little girls for a while now)
This tree has held so many special parties under her.
Since it was the day after the last day of school we decided to order the food - yummy, Italian food!
The peonies had just come out in stores, can you tell I was really happy about that?
After eating they decided to change to make playing more fun...
After eating, talking, and playing we had Italian cookies from the most wonderful bakery - per Anna's request instead of a cake. It was fun to pass around cookies (along with coffee and tea) It really made for a different feel and I'm definitely doing that again!
I wish I didn't put down my camera then because I would want Anna to remember
- cousins running in the back yard playing some game of hide and seek (and little Kye's shoes lighting up and giving him away - how we loved that)
- grownups on the screened in porch til late
- more cookie eating
- dark outside and twinkle lights on the porch
- staying up late and loving that first feel of ahhh it's summer!
What a beautiful celebration! I love both your dress and Anna's dress.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Anna on her Confirmation. We love that name :)
