A Sixteenth Surprise

Goodness gracious -- this trip was four years ago! Four Years!

This was them four years ago!



And this was them saying goodbye all those years ago. It was tear your heart out sad.



And I promised Anna we'd go back.

So we did!

All Anna wanted for her sixteenth birthday was to see her one and only -- so we planned this trip out for about a year.

And we kept it a secret from Riley. {with fun 'wish we could some day' kind of texts going back and forth}



And then just 3 days before we hopped on a plane Anna posted this picture for Riley to see!



It sure shocked them all!



A few small days later this was the scene in the airport.





They'd grown quite a bit taller that's for sure!





Now I didn't document it quite as much as this trip...



But I want to remember

• ice cream night
• shopping
• Just Add Magic
• Listening to them talk and laugh
• Teen snacks at night
• And of course, another hard goodbye

We won't wait another four years this time --
