Spectacular - Amazing - Incredible
Today we visited (on the ship) the Hubbard Glacier. (see here)
It started with excitement with huge chunks of ice (icebergs) in the water.
10:00 AM
And in one breath the scenery {right in front of our eyes} changed!
11:00 AM
Ice, two miles deep
It got cold quick! And Scott ran back to the room for all of our winter gear!
And then we spent the rest of the day basking in this kind of scenery. It was breathtaking.
and absolutely impossible to describe.
And so huge - do you see that boat below? That is a huge boat & in comparison to the glacier you can really see just how enormous this was.
It was all around us!
1:00 PM
Pieces breaking off!
2:00 PM
And even as our ship headed away from the glacier we still saw magnificent views.
We spent the day on the ships balcony but even from our cabin's own balcony it was amazing.
We captured as much as we could all day long with my camera, Scott's phone pictures and just some video. I hope the girls hold on to what they saw and how it felt to be in God's beautiful creation up in Alaska.
Standing on our balcony.
Before we knew it, it was time to get ready for dinner.
This was the scenery out our 3 windows and balcony as we got ready.
7:00 PM
10:00 PM
It was so hard to close our eyes that night to God's beauty. None of us wanted it to end.
