Our first 'day at sea' was awesome! I've got too many pictures of us getting ready for dinner but I just have to have them to look back at some day. The morning was the BEST!
Scott and I got up really early to work out while the girls were still asleep - when we got back we woke them up and had room service for breakfast.
And then for a long time this is what Scott was doing -- binoculars
in beautiful landscape!
After a long time just looking we heard him hollar for us -- come quick humpback whales!
It was impossible to capture - darn! I quickly realized how talented the National Geographic photographers really are!
So I took this from online so that you could see kinda what it looked like --
Really hard to describe but magnificent is the only word I can come up with!
It was so exciting just to be on the balcony watching those whales and seeing the landscape go by!
We also took a galley tour (thought it would be fun for Abigail to see the seperate allergy safe kitchen)
And then it was out to dinner!
I love these darling girls!
It was so windy and way too cold for those dresses, even for an indoor dinner. If you go on an Alaskan cruise in August think fall/spring for days even on the ship. We packed enough on land clothes for warmth but not enough dinner clothes. Good thing we had cardigans for over those dresses!
Cardigans over dresses is the way to go!!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos of what must have been the trip of a lifetime!
And the second to last picture?
THE MOST BEAUTIFUL EVER.
Love you!
