Christmas morning finds us in our comfy jamies until well after lunch. Sometime around 2:00 we start to get ready. And on Christmas Day that means all dressed up in our Christmas best to spend the late afternoon and evening at my parents house.
It was super windy but we had to get a quick family photo in since there was snow on the ground this Christmas.
I love us.
I don't go overboard with the camera on Christmas Day. I tend to sink into the moments. But there are a few photos I treasure from that day. This is one of my favorites.
And my brother took this one.
And my absolute favorite from the day... arms wrapped around her daddy. On Christmas Day...
She married my brother Trent and I got a sister!
The stockings at Grandma and Grandpas are such a treat!
There are moments of joy watching childhood right through their eyes.
My niece... isn't she sweet?
Downstairs in the playroom an elaborate train is set up.
She looks big when she's helping the little...
And somewhere late in the evening when tights start to sag inside new Christmas gold shoes,
and when the tulle starts to show I know it's time for jammies... and this one last picture of Christmas...
May there be a full, lifetime of Christmas joy just like this one held.
