"Irish Stepper"

8

That's what she calls herself.

3

Last week she moved up from wearing only her gillies to Irish Step hard shoes.

4

That's Greek for "they cost a whole lot more money because they are imported from Ireland".

6

They almost didn't make them small enough for her feet.

7

But I'm hoping that her feet don't grow all year so that she can wear these "imported from Ireland" shoes for a while.

But something tells me that when you're six, your feet are always growing.

So daddy set up a platform in the playroom so that she could practice in her hard shoes (since mommy wouldn't let her on the kitchen floor)

And she was kicking away

Until she started itching

10

Apparently we can add saw dust to the things she's allergic to.

11

Welts, hives, and rashes all over her legs. (although the pictures don't really show that at all)

A day in the life of a six year old "Irish Stepper"

  1. So sweet. Could it be the socks she is allergic to? Are they wool? My hubs is highly allergic to wool. Hope she gets lots of practice time in and enjoys each step.
