We Made It!

We officially made it to our winter break! Yesterday was our last day of school until 2025! I am so excited to be H O M E ! I can't wait to make our home sparkle and shine. I can't wait to bake more. I can't wait to just be here with my precious family. And of course I can't wait for Christmas! 

Scott and I planned a really fun 'kick off' to our break. In years past we've had something called "Christmas Getaway Weekend'. Here are some past ones.

So many wonderful years of memories! This year we have so very much going on. Our girls are both seniors and they have B I G changes happening in their lives and all of that change is coming quickly. {I will post more about all of that when I can} so we really didn't want to have an overnight. This year we decided to kick off our Christmas in style. We went out to dinner at a fun restaurant and then we surprised the girls with ticket to the Candlelight Concert. I'd seen a lot about it online and really wanted my viola playing girls to experience a special night like this. 

And it was just that -- a very special night

It was just so beautiful in there -- stunning! 

As I sat there I just kept thinking about how my girls have learned to play like that. I loved that they got to see how professional musicians could bring just joy to an audience. They are always on the other side being the violists themselves. What a treat to see it though their eyes.
