~Christmas in Newport~ (part 2)

We walked down the block and saw the tree lighting and Santa arriving on a boat! (It's Newport after all!!)

All of the shoppes were open late and each one was so unique and lovely to walk through. A Christmas delight for sure!

We stopped in the sweetest Italian restaurant. Small, candle lit, cozy tables. Perfect food.

Scott carried all of the packages back to the hotel.

I guess we didn't need to order dessert, our hotel had smores outside by the fire.

I can't imagine why they wanted to swim... but they did.

Matching jammies, cozy socks, and one of my favorite parts of Christmas Getaway Weekend? All of us in one room.

On our way home later that day we talked about our favorite parts of going away. And we all agreed that the planned things are fun but the unexpected surprises are what MAKE the trip. Like last nights Italian restaurant we found and this sweet little place for breakfast.

On our way out of town... it's not really a trip unless we find a bookstore. And we did!
