Today we got up bright and early. We headed to 7:30 AM Mass. Got home, grabbed a few last things of Anna's and then we all went up to Holy Cross. Her dorm is adorable and all decorated for Christmas.
We were home before lunchtime which was good because I needed to get the whole house in order for Monday! Changed all our beds, made them clean and cozy, cleaned up the house, even went into my classroom for a little bit. I've been in a holiday bubble over here and I just didn't even remember where I'd left off.
Then it was time for dinner and our first week of Advent. Time for stillness. Time to stop just a bit. We ate by candlelight and listened to some really lovely music. It was just what we needed before we are all back at our schools tomorrow morning.
I would like to have more days of Thanksgiving weekend but it's ok... these next three weeks are exciting to be a fourth grade teacher. They fly by and everything at home is so fun and festive. I am going to stick with my regular routines so that my health and mental health has a peaceful and wonderful Advent.
