~Christmas in Newport~ (part 1)
We had a lovely Christmas Getaway Weekend.
We've been doing Christmas Getaway Weekend since 1998 when we were married only a year. (minus two years when there were two babies in our home)
Each time to a different place (except for NYC, becuase NYC at Christmastime is magic)
I explained a little bit back here about the 'history' or our Getaway and how it all started.
This year we stayed at the beautiful Hotel Viking.
See Abigail way down there? First thing she noticed in the lobby were all the materials for writing to Santa. She got started right away (but didn't finish til the next day) First thing Anna noticed was the hot cider in the lobby.
The room. The girls always want me to take a picture of the room to look back at one day.
After we moved in and rested for a bit, we got all dressed up for tea.
Without really trying (or deciding) we seem to have tea at every Christmas Getaway... or as much as we can.
Pretty view (and pretty little girl)... see the lovely houses across the street? Newport is a definite place to visit if you ever find yourself in New England.
We stayed until it got dark outside and the twinkle lights lit up the shop windows.
My girls getting oh so big!
Love her.
more coming tomorrow!
