A Day of Perfection
If I wrote a letter to Santa asking him for this day even HE couldn't have delivered all of this perfect Christmasness.
First it snowed. It started in the morning. Scott has NO SCHOOL and the girls got out at lunch time.
So picture this... our first snow of the season
Fluttering down as we decorate our Christmas Tree.
It was dark and grey outside with big flakes
It was cozy and warm inside with our fireplace on and Bing Crosby through the speakers.
It was a day of (okay, there was a sister squabble over who untangles the ornament hook) perfection
And even though Daddy had to go to an evening Board of Education meeting we were thankful that this unexpected day happened.
Some things... the really wonderful ones just can't be planned.
And oh my goodness... this is the face of my daughter watching the Sound of Music (after daddy left for that meeting and bath was done we cuddled in front of the fire)
