Okay, well today is Thursday but I took these last Tuesday...
The girls after school. While Anna dives into homework and a snack, Abigail and I make hand turkeys. She loves them!!!
And then she wants to mail them to everyone she knows.
Anna always does her homework right after school. After a quick hand scrub (have you ever looked that the desks at school? yuck!) and a yummy snack she likes to get all of her responsibilities done right away. She knows that there is no playtime until all of her responsibilities are done. Since it's always been that way she's never questioned it. I find that she's too tired to do homework later in the day. Done and packed away make for a happy evening!
Guess what Abigail can do now? Write her name!!! And she's quite excited about it too!
"I just need a little help with the G," she tells everyone. "I need to follow Mommy's finger around." So cute!!!
We're quite proud of her too!
Life with a digital camera is so different from when we were kids... can you imagine if you had pictures of homework time and the first time you were able to write your name? My Dad took a ton of pictures of us growing up, more than the average. He loved the camera and took amazing shots. I learned a lot from him behind the camera when I was little. But the days of digital are so much easier! You can capture anything and everything. The problem is keeping up with all of those memories. Thank goodness for my blog to log it all. Love it!
This is a wonderful post, capturing those moments so precious in time! :-)
