Easter 2018 (part 2)

Our Easter day is at my brother and sister in laws house {cousins!!!} but in the morning we like to have a sweet little brunch after Mass. I set the table the night before. Last year I used my Wedgewood strawberry china, this year I used Cathkidston and gingham plates.

He is risen!

32

Easter can be very cold here in Connecticut {although last year was 72} so this year I was thrilled when I found this classic dress for Abigail.  Her features are tiny and she looks best in classic children's clothing.

35

Abigail had to be at church an hour ahead because she was singing in the childrens choir.  I actually love getting there that early on a holiday.

38

Anna surprised me that she was willing to out back outside to take a few by the doors.  I love our church!

39

A last warm up before Mass.

40

Abigail cantored the Alleluia.  She sang beautifully!

After Mass we stopped at Elizabeth Park for a few photos.  It was so cold that morning... just a few minutes was all we could do!

I loved finding matching dresses (so Easter-y and so comfortable {perfect for teaching when it stops snowing!} )

And while the breakfast cooked the girls hunted in our home.

We had spring tea, fancy bacon, and our traditional egg cups... so so good!

Then it was off to the cousins (where I put my camera down and enjoyed the day)

61

My sister in law does such a beautiful job on Easter.  Little boxes for the kids and goodies inside {each one picked out individually}

She set the table with her china that once belonged to my grandmother and is a reminder of my my holidays growing up.

66

The next morning was Monday, of course.  And it was sooooOoooo hard to get up and going.  Especially because of the snow!

67

I am typing this over a week after Easter, on a Tuesday morning.  The snow is coming down hard.  I have a cuppa tea in my Peter Rabbit mug and an loving looking through these photos showing the joy of Easter.  I am blessed, blessed indeed!
