Christmas Getaway

We traveled to Millerton, NY.

It's a charming town with lots of great shops, restaurants, and charm charm charm {oh! and an antique store!) 

We loved

💗lunch at the Inn with a table right next to the fireplace ~ oh so cozy

💗candy shop with the best hot chocolate in the world made from their own chocolate

💗the creaky floor amazing bookstore

💗Harney and Sons store

💗all of the other little shops

💗Salisbury (on the way home) general store

It was on Sunday... with only Monday and  Tuesday for school and then Christmas was beginning. On this day trip it was so close that I could just cry for the magic of it all. 

I don't have many pictures but here are a few: 

The girls learned about this Christmas Getaway by reaching in their stockings and reading these little notes. 

We stopped in Riverton, CT on the way and went to a little bakery for treats for later. 

We've been to Riverton so many times. And we have so many happy memories there. 

The general store is so wonderful. 

And then we arrived in Millerton and started with lunch at the Inn.
