Acadia National Park (part 2)

 Jordan Pond, Acadia National Park

Among all of the hikes and such that is Acadia... there is the place called Jordan Pond. It is a little piece of Heaven on Earth.

Picture a sprawling green lawn

surrounded by mountains

with a beautiful lake in the middle

And ready for this?

That serves tea, popovers, homemade jams, and butter.  Heaven on Earth!

So we had lunch there, of course we did!

And then of course popovers and tea!

While Scott and Anna had a popover sundae!

Right here you can see a glimpse of the lake just "down the lawn" It is a 4 mile loop around the lake through the woods. Some of it easy (some through rocks, not so easy!) We hiked after lunch.

It was hard to leave those green umbrellas and tea for sure...

But one look at this walk/hike made me so happy!

With spectacular views!

Can you see the lawn waaaaay down there? That is the Jordan Pond Restaurant we ate at!

We ended the day (of course) at the lovely gift shop and I picked this up for a travel wall I'm creating at home - can't wait to hang it!

What a fun day!
