This weekend was Holy Cross Family Weekend.
It is so much F U N to have a college student and visit them for a huge weekend. We had such a blast together and are still talking about how amazing the college did at this weekend.
So here is a peek at us at Holy Cross!
Posing
(because we miss her so much and are so happy to be the four of us)
I honestly did take enough photos of this stunning New England campus!
I've never seen so many mums - thousands and thousands, like a garden.
Touring
We toured "the Jo" a recreational facility for non-D1 non-athlete students.
The view is fabulous!
Gas firepits and lights outside for nighttime.
Feasting
Next came eight food trucks across campus - this was just one area with four of them. All serving the most fun lunches for families.
(yes, thousands of mums around every corner)
Anna picked this Holy Cross dog (they even made an nonallergic one for Abigail) Scott chose gourmet grilled cheese truck!
Visiting
Anna showed us where her orchestra rehearsals are twice a week at night.
Fair-ing
The Fall Harvest Fair was next right in the middle of the afternoon. And right on campus - so so fun!
Crafts
Fried Dough
Cotton Candy
Games
Family Photo Booth
RelaxingWe left campus, checked into our hotel, had dinner out and then headed right back to campus for an evening of fun.
But first tea by the fire pit.
Anna wanted to show us the library - I wish I took a picture of it at night. Stunning.
Stumbled across rows and rows of books about Mary - wanted all of them!
Celebrating
There was a grand nighttime celebration - the Kimball Dining Hall all lit up and in front this beautiful tent. I have no pictures but they were serving elegant desserts - apple crisp, warm brownie sundaes, cookies, pies. Performances and cello player.
Fireworks!
The night ended with a spectacular display of fireworks - yes, we were beyond impressed, shocked, excited, and having so much fun!
Mass-ing
The next morning we had a lovely breakfast and then headed to Mass on campus. It was an incredible Mass for all of the families.
Goodbye-ing
again...
Can not wait to be on that campus again and until Thanksgiving when Anna comes home!
