An Ozark Mountain Photo Session

The blog of our trip is:

Day one

Day two

Day three

Day Four

Day Five

Back on day two I mentioned that we had hired a photographer to take some family photos. We do this every summer, on every trip. It can be a bit tricky when we travel since we are not just packing for each day/night/event but also outfits that need to coordinate for the photo session. (shoes, jewelry, hair, makeup, etc) And sometimes things turn out 'different' because I'm using a hotel hair dryer and not mine from home and my girls are trying to wash and condition their hair in an unfamiliar shower. But we love it and honestly it ends up being one of our favorite days. Every year the photographer has taken us to an 'off the beaten path' place that as tourists we never would have discovered. And it's always beautiful. We love meeting someone who actually lives in the place we are visiting, and often they give us advice for things to do in the area.

Well, we found a winner of a photographer this year! He was amazing. And after suggesting a location I asked him (that day) for another idea since it just wasn't what I had in mind. And he found us an amazing place, exactly what I was looking for.

So here you are; our family in Branson, Missouri; the Ozark Mountains (actually down by a creek -- so cool) (ps - they might take a second or two to load on your computer since they are high resolution and not my normal blog size, sorry!)

  1. Loved seeing everything you guys did on vacation! I only know the Ozarks from the TV show Ozark (it's really good, but not your kind of show, I think) and it's wonderful to see a different side of it here. Looks lovely.

And the professional photos came out great! Everyone looks happy, and that shade of pale green looks super nice on Abigail.
