Mid December Weekending

Well this happened

And it made us all so happy. We had the very best night

*yummy food

*Christmas movie

*Talking, talking, talking finally all in one room

*Just the best feeling in the world

We all had our favorite warm drinks

Then right before we all crashed for the night Anna said, "I feel terrible". She never says that.

I knew she was negative for Covid since her last test was Thursday (college requires it twice a week) so just a really bad cold with a fever.

Right to bed.

So Saturday and Sunday turned into this.

I got all of Abigail's things out of the girls bathroom and moved Abigail into our bathroom.

Moved the Air Purifier into the hallway upstairs.

Had the windows cracked open in every room upstairs (thank goodness we are having some warm temps)

And served Anna all weekend so that she could stay in her room and rest (and upstairs so we wouldn't get sick) Literally all of her meals were in her room.

We were all sad that our cozy - we looked forward to this 'Anna's Home' weekend - was postponed

But

I am so thankful that she wasn't at college and that I could take care of her and that she could be home.

So so thankful.

Saturday was also

*Mass

*Baking pie crust for Christmas

*Baking Abigail's granola bars (high calorie for snacks at school - trying to help her gain weight)

And an orchestra concert.

So so sad that Anna couldn't be there.

I have no video since it couldn't be recorded but I've never ever seen Abigail play like that before. It felt like the first time in all of these years that she owned that viola (so to speak) and played with such enthusiasm and J O Y.

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend... much joy to all of you dear readers.
