Hand Embroidered and Laced Organza... be still my heart...
It was a pretty wonderful day. We spent the morning (close to two hours) in this store trying on dresses for her First Holy Communion
(I found this later on)
I think it was a special memory for Abigail; just as I wanted it to be. Because I found this too later on...
I love the part where she wrote that we 'ate at a restaurant'. She doesn't even realize that it's not normal to eat a a restaurant and eat out of your thermos. Ordering from a restaurant is just something this little EE girl can not do. And yet 'eating at a restaurant' is still a happy memory for her.
She was beaming after and her big sister was a huge help in deciding on the dress.
Now you know I took a ton of pictures of that dress... especially since we didn't actually bring it home with us. It's being shipped to us when it's ready. Somehow I can't bring myself to post them all here. I just want to keep that to myself until the big day in May but in case you wanted a seek peek... here's her dress.
Her teeny, tiny features, her strawberry waves, all of it...just perfect inside this dress. I know, I know it's not about the dress. Believe me I can separate the two when it comes down to that 'day'. But for all of you that know me 'childrens clothing' is one of my hobbies. And picking out a First Communion dress.. well that's just about heaven to me.

ReplyDeleteI think Juliana has the same hello kitty note book.
ReplyDeleteI can not wait to see pictures of the communion dress and hear all about her special day. Is her first communion on Mother's Day ? That is when they have it at our church.
Have a cozy day!
