Fifty - One

I had the sweetest little birthday last week. And I feel so blessed that I get showered by my family and friends. I'm honestly not very gracious about my birthday. I don't mind growing older - don't care about the number one tiny bit (you could hand a banner the size of my house outside with my age and I wouldn't care) It's more about the attention. I like regular days. And I get nervous about getting all of that 'extra'. But then when it's all over and I'm climbing into bed that night I just feel so grateful for all that people did to love on me. And then I just melt with joy and fall asleep with a little smile on my face.

I only wish that I remember to take more quick pictures. Here's what I don't have:

♥ the cards some students in my class made for me... just the sweetest with all of their little drawings and "I love you Mrs. Baker"

♥ the little earrings and bracelets they made me

♥ my team that came in that morning with presents (Brian covered my recess duty - best present ever) (Amy bought me tea and honey)

♥ all of the teachers that popped in to wish me a great day

♥ my mother in law who drove over to leave a present (a Radko Christmas ornament) on our porch for me to open when I got home

Here are the pictures I do have:

♥ Scott made a lovely soup - sausage with lots of vegges, my favorite! And I made the dinner rolls (yup, after teaching all day, but so worth it!)

♥ Of course there was cake!

♥ Grateful my parents were able to come to dinner

♥ And the sweetest presents from my little family

♥ Best of all are the cards - oh how I love homemade cards with lots and lots of writing. I treasure these so much!

Another birthday memory to save forever! Fifty - one !
