This is how we celebrate St. Patrick's Day! And being in a big parade is so much fun!
On a bright Saturday morning. Crisp and cold (but at least sunny) daddy dropped us off in Hartford.
We meet up with her Irish Dance school in the State Capital parking lot.
And while we wait we take pictures!
Girls giggle and dance around
It really is so much fun waiting. And then the parade begins. We march and the school stops 2 or 3 times on each block to perform a little Irish Jig!
The crowd is packed on each side. And when it's time to perform they form 2 lines facing out and dance their heart out!
The crowd is just the best. They cheer and clap for these girls. I loved seeing this older couple and their smiles for our Irish dancers. (and the brownstone they are standing in front of)
There are people dressed in green and some waving Irish flags!
The crowd is the MOST fun in front of the Irish pub. No one cheers more enthusiastically then those there!
Toward the end of the play I spied Scott and Anna. (and a man dressed head to tow in green... he's right out of a St. Patrick's day golden book)
Love this smile on Scott!
Just a handful from the dance school were chosen to do an Irish Friendship dance in front of the bandstand. It was wooooonderful!
Scott took a little video of this last dance!
I loved spending the day with Abigail, my little Irish girl!
