Mystic, Connecticut

Scott and I went on a little weekend getaway. We were gone less than 24 hours and it was w o n d e r f u l . It was out Christmas present to each for each other this year. We wanted some time to talk, chill, relax, eat, shop.

I will say that there is a lot to parenting young adults and it does take some loving help. Scott and I love this stage of parenting. Not because we are 'done'. But because we love supporting, guiding, teaching, and discipling still. {and always}. We do love a chance to talk though things/ideas/each child's needs/how we can best support them. 💗 And this little getaway gave us just the chance to do that.

And so much more.

Mostly because it was so so relaxing. I barely even took a photo. So here are the few I did:

Goodbye to our girls who couldn't wait for us to go!

We stayed at the Whaler's Inn. We've been there before. {that post is back here} And we had an amazing dinner at the S&P!

Loved our upper level seating overlooking the water.

Cozy fire in the hotel lobby after dinner for way to long...

Breakfast was cozy too!

After breakfast we checked out and antiqued all around! It was so much fun!

On the way home we stopped for lunch too! Another cozy table for two!
