Abigail ~ mommy, I've been doing this every Christmas forever, right?
Me ~ Well it feels that way because this is your third year. When you started you were five and it's really hard to remember things before you were five. So yes, you've been doing this your whole life.
The dancing is sweet... but it's the 'before' dancing moments that I love the most. In the hallway lining up and enjoying her friends. The faces she makes, the smiles...

And even as she watches the dancers before her realizing that she's 'on' soon and will have to try to get those hard steps right... in front of everyone!
Ohhhh the one on the left... that's why I drive her every Monday afternoon. She's enjoying herself. Just the way dance should be.
But the one on the right... are just the way Irish Step Dancers are supposed to have their arms.

Did I ever tell you the story of when I accidentally threw her 'imported from Ireland' ghillies in the washing machine with the rest of the clothes? Cried when they came out. But they came out just fine!

No... It's just not Christmas without my girl in tulle and skipping around the circle, curls swishing for the annual grab bag. Delicious!

Tara, you don't need me to tell you that you captured her joy and excitement perfectly! But I will. And you did. And I felt as if I were there. We all were. In the fron front row. Cheering for your girl. : )
