Thanksgiving Morning
Nestled among the Thanksgiving ~ness on our family room mantle are three little Christmas packages. We started this tradition waaaay back and I'm so glad we did.
Three ornaments in those packages. One for each and one to share as sisters.
These ornaments are for "their tree" which goes up promptly on Thanksgiving morning while the parade is on.
And even though the girls opened them up right before we left to go here it is a special tradition non the less. When they see those ornaments on the Thanksgiving mantle, the Christmas season has officaly begun!
"My Little Pony" for Anna
And a Santa cupcake for Abigail
And a Bible Time bear to share!

Just stopping in after being off for awhile. The mantle looks lovely, but not as pretty as the girls :) There's something special about little ones in white stockings, isn't there? I love the ornament idea. Santa delivers one in the stockings each year around here :) Thank you so much for the prayers and continued prayers. They are greatly appreciated! May you have a blessed Advent!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun tradition Tara. My mom buys the kids an ornament every year and always gives it to them after dinner on Thanksgiving. They always look forward to this.
