A Winter Storm ~ from their perspective

A snow storm in the middle of winter is just about the best thing in the world.  When you're a child or your mommy and daddy are in education so they get snow days too!

We always start the night before with the food. I don't know why, but it's always about the food. Soup started on the stove.

1

Cake on the cake stand

2

Daddy checks the generator just in case we loose power.

3

Make sure there's enough seed for the birds.

4

Loose a tooth. Wait! What? How's the tooth fairy going to get to us in a blizzard?

5

6

You write her a note, that's what you do!

7

But she came anyway!

And the next morning when school is cancelled you watch the birds while you're cozy by the fire.

8

You let Daddy help you make waffles.

9

10

11

You watch the snow pile up

12

And you play dress up with your sister.

13

14

15

16

And you end the night with a snuggle and a good book.

17

The next morning when the sky is blue and all of the walks have been shoveled you wish, oh you wish that it could be just one more... one more snow day.

  1. Sounds like you are enjoying the snow too! We are hoping for a snow day tomorrow as it is going to last through Monday... pretty to see but not to drive in! We are due for over a foot! Is it Spring time yet?? I'm ready! LOL Enjoy and I'm so happy the tooth fairy could make it for this special occasion ;-)

    Blessings,
    Jill

  2. Sounds wonderful...I wish we had snow days here. I wished the same thing growing up.
Your home is beautiful so how could you not enjoy spending the entire day tucked inside it and how wonderful your husband was snowed in as well.
